• Do you have to be a Scituate Knight to join the pool?

No you don't have to be a Knight.  Membership in the pool is limited but open to all on a first-come, first-served basis.  

• My family won't really use the pool, but my 14 year-old is interested in joining and participating in swim team.  Can we just do an individual membership for them?

All members under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a member-adult, so I'm afraid not.  Individual memberships are allowed for anyone 16 and older.  You would need to have a full family membership and would need to accompany her to the pool for free-swim.
