New swim team suits are IN!!
If you placed an order for your swimmer's team suit before 05/31, they are here and available for pickup at The Good Sport in Cohasset on 3A!
Orders placed shortly after the 31st should be arriving at The Good Sport in about a week

Swim team suits are still available for order throughout the summer season
The suit for this year is called the Speedo "disco boom" and families are welcome to go to The Good Sport to be fitted with the right size before placing an order
Per usual, the suit will be some variation on a red, white, and blue pattern - we do not know what the exact suit looks like until they arrive
The girls' suit is $49.95 and the boys' suit is $39.95
**Swimmers are not required to purchase the team suit to be a part of the swim team!

About out swim team:

The Scituate K of C Swim Team is a recreational summer team designed to promote fitness, a love for swimming, a friendly competitive energy, and team comraderie among children ages 6-17. While competitive spirit is encouraged, the foremost goals are swimmer participation, fair play, and friendliness between participants and teams.

The season begins the last week of June, and runs through mid-August.
We compete in the South Shore Swim League (SSSL) with meets all over the South Shore.
Away swim meets are typically held on Fridays
Home swim meets are Mondays. We will have at least 2 Home/MONDAY MEETS.
Practices are held - rain or shine - Monday through Thursday unless a swim meet is scheduled for that day, or in the event of thunder and lightning.
Swimmers do not have to participate in every meet, but must swim in at least 2 meets to qualify for Championships.
Parents are asked to help during the meets as runners, timers and scorekeepers.

Eligibility: Swim team members must be paid members of the Knights of Columbus Pool, must be 6 years old or older and able to swim one length of the pool without stopping.

K of C swim team practice times

8 and under: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

9 and 10: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

11 and 12: 8:30 am – 9:30 am

13 through 17: 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Meet the coaches!

Coach Hailey

Coach Hailey is a head guard and one of the 12U coaches, and this is her fifth year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: When Coach Hailey was in high school, she swam the 500 freestyle at almost every meet (that's 20 laps)!

Coach Becca

Coach Becca is a head guard and the 17U coach - this is her fifth year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: Coach Becca was on the Scituate High School dive team and the K of C dive team!

Coach Sarah

Coach Sarah is one of the 12U coaches, and this is her fifth year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: Coach Sarah does triathlons every single summer!!

Coach Matt

Coach Matt is a 10U coach, and this is his fourth year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: Coach Matt swims at Vassar College - his event is the 200 butterfly!

Coach Maren

Coach Maren is one of the 10U coaches, and this is her fourth year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: Coach Maren lives in Florida, but she comes up to Scituate every summer and has been on the K of C swim team since she was 9!

Coach Nolan

Coach Nolan is a 10U coach, and this is his second year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: Coach Nolan has been swimming competitively for 9 years!

Coach Conor

Coach Conor is one of the 8U coaches, and this is his fourth year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: As a 12U swimmer, Coach Conor won the 50 yard backstroke at champs!

Coach Paige

Coach Paige is one of the 8U coaches, and this is her fifth year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: Coach Paige was recruited to Stevens Institute of Technology's swim team for swimming the 200 butterfly!

Coach Naomi

Coach Naomi is an 8U coach, and this is her second year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: Coach Naomi joined the K of C swim team when she was 8 and is still competing with us 7 years later on the 17U team - her favorite stroke is breaststroke!

Coach Lila

Coach Lila is an 8U coach, and this is her fourth year working at the K of C!

Coach fun fact: Coach Lila has been swimming since before kindergarten and has been in the Cohasset Kids Triathlon 5 years in a row!
